Our Monthly Favourites

It’s been a while since we have written a monthly favourites but there have been LOTs of things we’ve loved throughout August so we thought it was worth a post.

1. Apple cider Vinegar

Organic, raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar! Alive, active and packed with power. Raw Health only use organic unfiltered pressed apple juice to make their Apple Cider Vinegar. Never heated or pasteurised this living, enzyme rich vinegar contains “the mother”. Perfect for dressing raw foods or as a health tonic. We love ours mixed with some extra virgin olive oil, black pepper and Himalayan salt drizzled over a salad. It’s great for gut health and helps balance out good bacterias!

2. Origins Ginzeng

This face wash has been a favourite of both of ours this month. Firstly it smells amazing and secondly it does the job! It’s a 2 in 1 scrubby cleanser fortified with radiance-boosting Panax Ginseng and energizing Coffee Beans. Natural Jojoba and Carnauba Wax gently exfoliate to help unclog pores. We’ve both noticed that our skin looks brighter and it makes our skin feel clean and fresh.

3. Sistema Lunch Plus Box

We are on the go a lot for meetings and work in general so having a lunchbox like this has been a bit of a lifesaver. Buying lunch out and about can end up being really costly and you can end up making bad choices. To avoid wasting loads of money we make our lunch the night before, store it in this container and then take it with us the next day. This particular lunchbox is great because it’s big enough to hold a decent sized lunch but also small enough so it’s easy to carry around 🙂

4. The Gut Makeover

We both read this book recently and were quite inspired. It’s not a ‘diet’ it’s more about resetting your body and gut. A lot of people have gut problems, intolerances and digestive issues and this book explains why you might have this and how you can change it. We gave the food plan a go for a week or so and it was actually quite easy once you got in to it. I would really recommend reading this book if you’re interested in/or have gut issues. This book is easy to follow and contains more than 50 delicious, filling recipes celebrating real food in abundance, with colour and variety.

5. Baobab

We have loved this product for quite a while now but with both our weddings looming we are taking our health and nutrition even more seriously. Everyone wants to glow on their wedding day and it’s not just what you put on your skin that will make that happen… it’s about what you put in your body, so you can glow from the inside out. Baobab is amazing for your skin due to it being packed full of vitamin C (a single dose provides 33% of your daily requirement) so we have been sprinkling this super powder on our breakfast in the morning and even making it into a shot (mix the powder with some filtered water) in the hope that it will make us glow. So far it’s made us feel amazing and energised and fingers crossed after a few more weeks of using it we will notice the benefits that it can have on skin. Another fact about Baobab is that it’s almost 50% fibre and has one of the highest antioxidant contents of any fruit!
