My top 5 on the go snacks are healthier alternatives that prove healthy doesn’t have to be boring! All the snacks I have included are great for energy and endurance to keep you going throughout the day. They are all the things I snack on and they’re easy to carry around with you so there really is no excuse, no matter how busy you are!

1) Rude Health Mini Corn Crackers and Houmous
So delicious and really filling! I love the crunch of the corn crackers and I am a huge fan of houmous- you can make it yourself or if you don’t have time then there are lots of amazing brands that you can buy. The corn crackers are organic, popped not fried and made without oil so it’s literally just popper corn and a bit of sea salt! If I don’t have time to make houmous myself then my favourite brand to buy at the moment is the Waitrose Duchy Organics- It’s so creamy and the ingredients are really good!
2) Dilly’s Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar Fava Beans
A perfect alternative for those that are fans of salt & vinegar crisps, which I am! They are lightly roasted fava beans (also known as broad beans), which are very high in protein, a source of fibre and phytonutrients!
3) Squirrel Sisters bars- obviously 😉
Both Sophie and I snack on our bars all the time. I have at least one a day but the flavour really depends on my mood. I had a cacao brownie Squirrel bar this morning because I was in a rush so needed something quick for breakfast and thought the cacao would be perfect to give me a bit of boost. Our bars are vegan, gluten-free, 100% natural, paleo and raw so the nutrients are still in tact.
4) Nairn’s Cheese Snackers
A great savoury alternative…delicious crunchy cheese bites, that are baked (not fried) and made with wholegrain oats. They aren’t 100% ‘healthy’ but they are packed full of fibre, wheat free and only 103 calories per bag.
5) Banana and Biona Almond Butter
Easy, filing, so moorish and packed full of energy, which will keep you going throughout the day! What I love about the Biona almond butter is that is contains NO salt, which is quite rare to find and so much better for you! I love cutting the banana into slices and spreading a bit of almond butter on each slice.
