Breakfast Smoothie

Smoothies are a great way to start the day; they are easy to make and can be a quick, delicious way to get your ‘daily intake’ of greens, nutrients, vitamins and minerals into your diet.

We recently discovered Votary a skincare company that have just launched a skin supplement to help you get healthy, glowing skin from the inside out. Supplements can be a real pain to take but what we love about this is it’s an oil so you can add it to your normal meals like porridge, salads and smoothies.

The Votary Super Seed Skin Supplement is a blend of  10 select virgin cold-pressed seed oils, including organic hemp, borage and chia.  This natural oil is rich in omega 3, 6 and 9 essential fatty acids, that have been carefully balanced to support beautiful skin, glossy  hair and strong nails.

We’ve created a simple smoothie recipe using Votary as an ingredient to give your smoothie an extra boost of goodness

Ingredients (serves 1):

*use the same glass for all ‘glass’ measurements*

  • 2 x Tbsp overnight oats (cover the oats with almond milk,about 3 tbsp, or a nut milk of your choice, cover with cling film and leave in the fridge overnight).
  • 2 x Handfuls of kale
  • ½ x Glass frozen mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackcurrants)
  • ½ x Glass almond milk
  • 1-2 Tsp Votary

** oats need to be prepared in advance**


1) Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. If you like it less thick just add more almond milk or water.
