For us breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A lot of people say they don’t have time to eat a good breakfast but that’s BS; wake up 10 minutes earlier, be prepared (eg. have the ingredients in your fridge) and plan! For us the benefits of eating something nutritious first things means we have more energy so therefore feel more productive, are able to focus and generally feel really good!
One thing we have learn’t over the past year is that preparation and planning is key to a good food lifestyle. If you wake up and have nothing in your fridge you’ll end up grabbing anything; which will most likely be full of sugar, high in refined carbs and make you feel like shit for the rest of the day.
- Plan your weekly meals and have the ingredients available.
- If you have an early start make your breakfast the night before
- Buy tupperware containers to keep your food fresh/ so you can take it with you to work
- Be inspired! Social media is a great way to get food inspo.
To get you inspired and show you how easy it can be here are 5 of my favourite breakfast’s (one for each working day). All are plantbased, take no more than 5 minutes to make, are so nutritious, filling and delicious.
